Tobias Krämer is a contemporary German artist whose practice explores the dynamic relationship between materiality, movement and technology. Working primarily with kinetic sculpture and installation, he creates systems in which industrial materials such as natural rubber and metal are activated through mechanical processes. His works investigate tensions between control and unpredictability, stability and fragility, revealing how materials respond, resist and transform under technological influence.

Krämer understands his sculptures as performative bodies that act within space rather than remaining static objects. Through repetitive movements, vibrations and shifting rhythms, his works generate immersive environments in which viewers encounter material behaviour as a physical and sensory experience. His installations often challenge traditional notions of sculpture by combining engineering, choreography and material experimentation into hybrid forms that blur the boundaries between object, machine and living organism.

Since 2018, Krämer has lived and worked in Frankfurt am Main. He studied Visual Arts at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach, where he completed his Diploma in 2024.
